OUR PROGRAMS

Digital Skills Training Program

In a rapidly digitalising world, access to digital skills is no longer a luxury - it's a necessity. Yet, young women, girls, and youth in refugee settings or marginalised areas are often left behind due to lack of resources, access, and training. From remote work and e-commerce to digital entrepreneurship and AI, the global economy is increasingly driven by technology.

At Her Dreams Count, we believe that digital literacy is the gateway to equity, innovation, and independence, equipping refugees and host community youth with digital competencies bridges the opportunity gap, connects them to the global economy, and fosters self-reliance.

We also provide internship placements for participants to apply their skills in real-world settings, increasing their employability and confidence. This program lays the foundation for financial independence, entrepreneurial success, and unlocks remote work opportunities.

Training includes:

Website Creation & Management

Digital Marketing & Online Branding

Website Analytics & SEO

Entrepreneurship & Digital Income Skills Program

The modern job market is shifting, traditional employment is no longer guaranteed. With the rise of gig platforms, remote work, and digital marketplaces, the world is moving toward independent, entrepreneurial, and online income opportunities.

For refugees and vulnerable youth, entrepreneurship isn’t just a choice — it’s often the only viable path to survival and success

At Her Dreams Count, we integrate entrepreneurship into all our programs to ensure our participants can transform skills into income. We believe that when young people — especially women — control their economic futures, they also reclaim their dignity, voice, and power.

Our entrepreneurship program is designed to complement digital training and maximise participants' potential in the new economy — creating a ripple effect of innovation, financial independence, and community upliftment.

The Program includes:

Basic Financial Literacy

Pitching and Presentation Skills

Building Digital Portfolios

Navigating Online Gig Platforms

Girl Talk Sessions - Mental Health Support

Mental health remains one of the most under-addressed yet critical issues in refugee settings. Refugee and marginalised girls and youth face compounded challenges: trauma from displacement, lack of opportunity, gender-based violence, and a future filled with uncertainty. These burdens often go unspoken and end up creating depression and more harm to young women and youth. At Her Dreams Count, we recognise that healing begins with being heard and hope begins with connection.

At Her Dreams Count, we created Girl Talk Sessions as a space for refugee and host community adolescent girls and young mothers to heal, grow, and lead. These sessions are not just about conversations — they are about transformation. This platform nurtures emotional resilience while building the leadership potential of tomorrow's change-makers.

We also connect participants to professional counselling and individual support from trained social workers, ensuring mental health is treated with the care it deserves.

This space inspires girls not only to heal but to rise as resilient leaders, decision-makers, and advocates for themselves and their communities.

Each session includes:

Values-driven Reflection

Safe Peer-Led Discussions

Life Skills Development

Understanding & Reporting Gender Based Violence

Public Speaking & Presentation Skills
